Therapeutic yoga instruction is available in-home, in group settings, or through one-on-one sessions, with options for both virtual and in-facility classes. Each session is thoughtfully designed to provide adaptive care, meeting clients where they are by tailoring movements, pacing, and techniques to their individual abilities, comfort levels, and specific needs.
Individuals recovering from brain injuries such as TBI, stroke, or concussion, as well as those experiencing chronic pain or fatigue. Services are designed for those with balance challenges, fall risk, limited mobility, or overall deconditioning. Care is also well-suited for seniors, individuals returning to movement after time away, and those transitioning from physical therapy who need continued, guided support.
Caregivers and support persons are always welcome to participate or be present during sessions. Their involvement can provide added comfort, encouragement, and continuity of care, helping create a supportive and familiar environment for each client.
Each session is thoughtfully adapted to the individual—honoring the body, current abilities, and personal goals. The focus is on improving balance and coordination, building gentle strength, increasing mobility and flexibility, and supporting nervous system regulation. Sessions also aim to reduce pain and tension while helping restore confidence in movement.
Each session begins with an initial intake and conversation to understand your history and goals. A gentle assessment follows, using simple, pressure-free movements to gauge comfort and ability. From there, a personalized session plan is created to meet your specific needs, with ongoing support and gradual, safe progression to help you build confidence and improve over time.
This approach focuses on meeting the body with care and respect—without pushing beyond limits, following rigid routines, or creating pressure to perform. Instead, it emphasizes simple, supported movement that feels safe and approachable, helping the body gradually improve and feel better over time.
Services are designed to provide individualized sessions tailored to each client’s needs, with clear and consistent communication throughout. A safe, structured approach ensures appropriate progression, making it a reliable and supportive option for referrals and ongoing care coordination.
Yoga therapy is offered with accessibility in mind, partnering with a variety of insurance programs and funding sources. Depending on your plan and diagnosis, sessions may be covered under auto insurance (Michigan No-Fault / PIP claims), workers’ compensation, and select Medicare Advantage or Medicare-covered programs, with coverage varying by plan.
Navigating insurance can be complex, but support is available throughout the process. Assistance includes benefit verification, claim processing, and proper documentation to ensure accurate billing—so attention can remain on healing and recovery.
